Here’s the text of the article: Carla Sofia Pedro, emigrant from Almeirim, has lived for 11 years in England, but is without her five children.
English Social Services took the children for adoption. Carla said that this is not a unique case and that “this is to persecute immigrants to give their children to the rich!” Carla said “she’s upset because it’s in no comparison with Maddie McCann, the parents who were negligent and nobody took their children away.”
Carla Pedro is unemployed but guarantees that “I always treated my children well.” Carla tries now to obtain help from the Governor and the President of the Republic.
Carla and her husband Jose will accompany us in a delegation of 30 parents to Brussels, appealing to the Petitions Committee of the EU Parliament to go on a fact-finding mission, as they routinely do.
Demos have been organised in Lisbon and the Algarve (Portugal) and Riga (Latvia).
In Bratislavia (Slovakia) demos outside the UK Embassy resulted in the return of two boys after 920 days in captivity (foster ‘care’).
