On 3 October 2014 the European Institute of Law and Forensic Engineering organises an international conference:
“CONFERENCE ON THE CHILD REMOVAL PROCEEDINGS IN THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE MEMBER STATES AND RELATED HUMAN RIGHTS ISSUES”
In recent years professionals have taken note of unusually high numbers of children who have been removed from the care of their parents and subsequently placed in the care of third persons or an institution in some Council of Europe member states. For a long time media has been drawing attention to cases of children being removed without relevant reasons, whose victims include Czech and Slovak citizens living abroad. Some of them shocked the Czech and Slovak public and raised a wide professional discussion.
The European Institute of Law and Forensic Engineering therefore have decided to organise an international conference with the aim to focus attention on this issue and to emphasise the need for observing the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
Rt. Hon. John HEMMING, M.P. British Parliament, Marica PIROŠ ÍKOVÁ, Agent of the Government of the Slovak Republic before the ECHR, Ruby HARROLD-CLAESSON, President of the Nordic Committee for Human Rights, Grégory THUAN Dit DIEUDONNE, attorney, former senior lawyer at the ECHR, and many other significant experts.
Also the AGGRIEVED FAMILIES are going to tell their stories, the families from abroad had to struggle what they value the most their own children and face to absurd systemic deficiencies, consequences of which follow them by now.
