A COUPLE who fled Britain for the Czech Republic with their newborn son to avoid the prospect of social services removing him have created a website to help parents who find themselves in a similar situation.

Karina Coxon, 25, a nursery nurse, and her husband, Dr Martin Fricek, 36, established Children of the Voiceless after travelling abroad last summer.

The couple left their home in Nottingham when their son, Lucian, was two days old. They feared he could be taken into care and put up for adoption after NHS staff suggested that Coxon might have difficulty caring for him and alerted social services.

Coxon disputes the assessment. “A statement was written about me saying I might not be fit to look after my child — it was a false report,” she claimed.
