Online Petitions

21 petitions originating in the UK and over 225 from Germany have been submitted to the Petitions Committee of the EU Parliament. As a result, there are now plans for debates in the EU Parliament and the EU Council. Hence we changed the title of our Abolish Forced Adoption petition to

• Protect the Best Interest of the Child (across borders) in the EU Parliament and EU Council!

Given that 6,500 non-UK kids are in UK ‘care’, PLEASE DO SIGN and SHARE!

The first petition to address Family Court issues was

• The Secrecy of Family Courts should be lifted NOW! – published in May 2011 – with over 2,000 signatures – targeting the UK Judiciary.

Then followed a test of different petition platforms – as we were reaching out to the Petitions Committee of the EU Parliament:

• AVAAZ: Stop Forced Adoptions in the UK – with over 1,700 signatures on 19.07.15
• Care2Petitions: Stop Secret Family Courts encouraging Forced Adoptions in the UK! – with over 230 signatures
• Change.org: Abolish Adoptions without Parental Consent – with over 5,100 signatures.

Altogether over 9,000 signatures in July 2015.
